What we collect

This is a static website with no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask you for personal details such as your name or phone number, and we do not sell visitor data.

Like most websites, running the site involves a limited amount of information:

  • Server logs — to keep the site secure and to diagnose problems, the server records routine entries such as access time, IP address, browser type and requested path.
  • Information you send us — if you email us, we receive your address and the contents of your message, and use them only to reply.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This site itself has no sign-in state and sets no first-party functional cookies. Nearly all cookies you encounter here come from the third-party advertising and analytics services described below.

For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK and similar jurisdictions, we do not enable non-essential third-party cookies before you give consent.

On your first visit we ask which cookies you allow. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer — withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

This site shows advertising through Google AdSense to support its running costs. As a third-party ad vendor, Google and its partners may:

  • use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites;
  • collect device, browser and approximate location information related to ad delivery.

You can manage or turn off personalised advertising at any time:

For details of how Google uses data from partner sites, see Google's explanation.

Third-party links

The site may link to third-party websites, such as advertisers or reference material. Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies, which we neither control nor take responsibility for. We recommend reading them before you use those sites.

Children's privacy

This site is aimed at developers and designers, not at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Retention and security

Server logs are kept only for as long as is necessary to investigate security incidents, after which they rotate and are deleted. The site is served over HTTPS, and we use reasonable technical measures to prevent unauthorised access to data.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and comparable laws, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data relating to you, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent you have already given. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any update changes the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
